Neurodevelopment
Action Plan

A Neurodevelopmental Action Plan is a structured and strategic framework designed to address and support the neurodevelopmental needs of an individual. This plan typically involves begins with a neurodevelopment screening to provide the baseline of levels in human function in the auditory area of the nervous system.

Orientation

Providing orientation of neurodevelopment foundations so individuals will understand the underlying factors when looking at human function and behaviors.

2

Screening

Conducting screening to identify the individual's auditory and visual processing level to determine baseline, history, strengths, challenges, and specific neurodevelopmental needs.

3

Goal Setting

Defining clear and measurable goals for the individual's neurodevelopment, based on the baseline results, measured by the neurodevelopmental profile of human function.  Provide published goals for external sources, including parents, specialists and educators, that they collaborate with other therapies for the best possible outcomes.

4

Intervention Strategies

Offer referrals to further address motor skills, visualization, conceptualization, social skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional regulation.  Outlining specific intervention strategies that align with the identified therapeutic neurodevelopmental program.  Offer referrals to further address motor skills, visualization/conceptualization, analytical dominance, social skills, cognitive abilities and emotional regulation.

5

Timeline

Establishing a timeline for the implementation of interventions and the achievement of goals. Each set of sessions is a six-week time frame.  Exercises are altered to a new therapeutic level when current goals are met, if the individual desires to continue to accelerate processing.

6

Collaboration

Encouraging collaboration among professionals from different disciplines, caregivers, educators, and the individual themselves toward the common goals. Effective communication and coordination are vital for the success of the action plan.

7

Educational and Environmental Intervention

When requested, provide information in regard to necessary accommodations in the educational and environmental settings to support the individual's neurodevelopmental progress. This may involve modifications in teaching methods, classroom arrangements, or workplace accommodations.  ND program activities are included in the student’s IEP or individual reentry plan.

8

Family and Caregiver Environment

When requested, provide training in all activities involved in the ND program with family members and caregivers in the action plan. Providing them with information, resources, and training to support the individual's development at home and in the community.

9

Monitoring and Evaluation

Establishing mechanisms for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the individual's progress. Daily activity forms will record the frequency of completed activities.  If an individual continues with sessions beyond the three-month mark, assessments help in adjusting the action plan as needed and ensuring that it remains responsive to the individual's progress.

10

Summary

A Neurodevelopmental Action Plan is individualized and should be adapted to the unique strengths, challenges, and goals of each person. It aims to provide a roadmap for comprehensive and coordinated support across different aspects of the individual's life.
